League members are on a mission to build lucrative businesses, raise their coaching game, and create intentional, flexible lifestyles.
Some are new to the field, while others are 25-year industry veterans. All of us are committed to parabolic professional growth through inspiring peers and personalized mentorship.
Building a tutoring practice is challenging, lonely work.
You have to find potential clients, set your prices, sell yourself, manage shifting schedules, track billing and insurance needs, handle difficult parents– and there’s the small matter of becoming a phenomenal mentor for your students.
It can be daunting.
Private academic coaches typically have to figure this all out on their own– or get vastly underpaid at a national tutoring chain.
Finding your tribe of mentors and colleagues can be tough. But when you do, it’s a game changer.
That’s why LXT exists.
Joining The League of Exceptional Tutors gives you immediate access to best-of-breed training resources and an inspiring community of accomplished teachers and coaches. Our members frequently describe it as “life changing.”

Who is right for which levels of The League?
The LXT community is for any academic tutor or education coach (executive function, special needs, test prep, admissions consultant, etc) who wants to take a leap forward in their craft or business. These members seek PD, access to new clients and peers, administrative support, marketing collateral, credentialing, business coaching, pedagogical tools, and more.
LXT Elite is an inner circle of highly accomplished private academic coaches and entrepreneurs who must possess two of four requirements: an advanced degree, at least 5 years of full-time work in the field, a minimum personal hourly rate, and/or a business with revenue of >$1M per year. Fewer than 5% of academic coaches qualify and are accepted to the Elite corps.
